Our portfolio of work includes:

CADET: Cool Air Dragfree Electric Turbine

A revolutionary carbon-free propulsion motor and electric generator. First stage prototype completed. Further proof of concept and second stage in development.

Project Ulti-home

A pre-fabricated transportable housing system that is ideally suited to rapid deployment after natural or climate-induced disasters. In proof-of-concept stage.

SEALLS: Sea Air Land Lifting Systems

A new method of launching, recovering and storing personal watercraft for vessels from 30 ft upwards. First and second stage prototype complete. Patents approved and pending in various countries. Third stage upgraded prototype in development.

Project Ocean Magnitude

A visionary project to deliver a fleet of "fit for purpose” marine research vessels that advance marine science while offering a unique tourism experience. A preliminary design of the first vessel completed.

SOLID Foundation

SOLID is a mental health program for suicide prevention, a safe place for men of all ages to begin their road to wellbeing. It can be run on a one-to-one basis or through group mentoring. SOLID is strongly focused on strengthening men’s spirit.

Our Team

John Henson

Founder and director, Tangible Zone

John has an incredibly rich and varied career. Starting in fashion design, he took a radical turn to become a commercial diver, then dive master of his own business. After spending five years at Sea World on the Gold Coast as captain, he then became the first General Manager of the Hamilton Island Resort in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

He started designing boats in the late 1980s including a new high-performance catamaran. He returned to the ocean, captaining superyachts owned by several high profile Australian businessmen.

In the early 1990s he established a small mixed residential and commercial property portfolio at Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island. Always being creative, in the late 1990s he developed a revolutionary disk rotor that mixes virtually anything in solids, gases or liquids. And in the 2000s worked with Lukasz Opalinski to design the luxurious 90m superyacht, Project Magnitude.

John continues to create new designs, particularly the revolutionary new engine, that could have a hugely positive impact on energy generation for people and the planet.

Lukasz Opalinksi

Collaborator, Tangible Zone

Lukascz is the director of Opalinski Design House which he founded in 2007. Based initially in South Florida and now in Poland, the Design House caters to customers and projects spanning Miami, Monaco, Australia, Poland and the UK.

Lukasz is truly passionate about design. He strives to create and deliver the most exciting, innovative, beautiful and environmentally conscious designs of products, buildings, interiors, furniture, vehicles, vessels and aircraft we can imagine.

He focuses on creating new, improved living experience at all levels by providing comprehensive design solutions, including conceptual drawings, detailed drawings, 3D models, renders and video animations.

He also licences his designs to manufacturers to produce and market products under their brand with inclusion of the Opalinski Design House name as a product, or collection designer.
